Superior Boat Restoration is a business dedicated to the restoration of classic boats, based in Melbourne, Australia.
As part of the restoration process we like to document our work, with this site currently featuring the restoration of Eighteen Twenty ‘Blood Red’ a 21-foot Restricted Class racing boat.
This blog is just one chapter in the history of Eighteen Twenty a historic Victorian 21 footer class racing skiff. Eighteen Twenty was designed and built in 1933 by Charlie Peel in Melbourne for the Australian manager of Johnny Walker Whiskey, Jim Douglas.
We aim to complete the restoration in readiness for the 2023 Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
